Thursday Thirteen #17

Thirteen Cars I have owned/driven:

1. Dodge extra-long bed, double cab pickup truck...This is the one I took my driver's test in...trying to do a 3-point turn? Didn't happen.

2. Another Dodge pickup (you can see it here)

3. 1966 Chrysler 300 (go see a picture of one here)

4. 197-something Buick LeSabre

5. John Deere 4020 tractor

6. 1976 Chevy Nova...this one was MY first car...I bought it for $100 from my brother...it was DARK green, and had this huge hole in the back fender....I could fill that gas tank up for $20.00.
7. 1991 Ford Escort Wagon...This is the first car I bough with my husband.

8. Mercury Sable...this is the one that my husband took flying...

9. 1993 Mercury Sable Stationwagon

10. 1988 Chevy conversion van...bought in Buffalo, WY, in the middle of our move from TX to MT...it SUCKED gas...it was running on half the cylinders....

11. 2007 Pontiac Montana (currently driving this)

12. 1993 Honda Civic

13. 2006 Honda Civic(hubby is currently driving this)

I know there are a couple more that I missed...but I couldn't remember makes or models....

I had to laugh at your 3 point turn comment. I learned to drive on a 1977 ford ltd station wagon. I parallel parked it on the first try but never did manage a perfect 3 point turn. Fortunately the tester was still so awed by my parking he let it slide.

Some good comments there :-)
I haven't had a car since the early 1980s. But then again, you can get round most places in the UK without one.

I have yet to get my license. But we have a Jeep Liberty. I do NOT look forward to driving it.

You took your drivers' test in a car that big? You are a brave, brave woman.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and commenting on my rant, LOL. I don't know what's getting into me lately; I wonder if it's hormonal??? I don't think about it much and the next thing I know I'm practically in tears which is strange for me. I'm not a weepy woman.

Anyways, your comment was so brave. Just writing that post really challenged me and I doubt that really showed in the words if you KWIM! I pray that I that God would give me the strength to make the same offer.

Thank you for stopping by my blog!

That's a lot of cars :) I've only owned/driven five, counting hubbys. I still miss my bright pink sunfire, that gave out on me after 175k miles!!

A very clever TT! My first car was a dark green 1969 Mustang - I really loved that car, and wish I still had it. It was new, and I paid for every penny - it cost $3600 and I could fill it for $10! That's how old I am!

YOur last post - I hope you're feeling better. Hormones can really make us crazy!

LOL a Gal after my own heart. Trucks, 60's and 70's muscle cars. and a John Deere! Did you know I was an auto mechanic for 5 years before I joined the Corps and started working on jets? I REALLY miss working on 60's and 70's Chevy 350's....I need to get one, one day!
