Thursday Thirteen #25

Thirteen Pets we've owned:

1. Phoebe – the “new” cat in the house.

2. Nibbles – Our current BEAUTIFUL tortoiseshell

3. Blue Eyes – the “male” cat that had a litter of kittens the week after we gave it to someone else!

4. Batty – This cat was psycho -

5. Bear – Rottweiler - was stolen from my brother’s yard

6. Another dog…a mutt that was given to us and shot by a neighbor

7. Caramel….my oldest daughter’s dog

8. Claude – my dog while I was on my own, given away by my roommate

9. Sam – My husband’s dog growing up….Sam was an English Bulldog

10. Jeanette – my husband’s dog growing up – a Rottweiler

11. Hot Dog – My dog growing up – a Border collie - the best do we ever had

12. Pup – My parents’ dog…Daddy found her in a dumpster when she was just a puppy, and gave her to my mom when they were still in their first month of marriage. I LOVED Pup…she was a GREAT mother…she never had any puppies of her own, but she was a MUCH better mother to the kittens than were any of the cats we had growing up. She even nursed those poor abandoned kittens.

13. We’ve also had a Bearded Dragon, white mice, two German Shephards, another Border Collie, 2 or 3 more cats, several more mutts that showed up and were taken in…. oh, and I think my brothers had some geckos....

What kind of pets have you had?

  2. At the moment we have 2 cats
Sox(which makes for our 2nd cat to be named that so I guess it is sox two) and KitKat.
but in the past since we have been married we had
Sox 1, pepperment 1 and pepperment2, Chip and Chips 5 kittens(which we found homes for) Then Butterscotch, Sassy, Callie and Callies 4 kittens which we kept, which were Casey, Zoey, Princess, and Sox2(who we still have) Callie and 3 of the kittens got into a bad bunch of can cat food and all passed away with in 24 hours of eating it, lucky for Sox2 he had got out the door and wasn't there to eat that night.
Due to the kids being sad about there kittens DH came home last year with 3 more cats I could have killed him I was happy being down to 1.. Those 3 kitten he came home with were named Tiger, Candy and KitKat. Tiger and Candy after keeping them for 7 months wouldn't stop peeing on things around the house, so now they are barn cats who live at a farm out in the country and not at my house.. That leaves us with Sox2 who is now 3 years old and KitKat who just turned a year.
We also had a dog named Rose, how was way to rough with the kids and now lives with an older lady who doesn't have kids.
Thought that time we also had a few fish and a few hermit crabs also.

  4. We mostly had cats-- until just a few years ago. And now I've found out my oldest is allergic.

We've also had fish on and off. Much safer for us fruits and vegetables to have fish.

    Happy TT!

  6. Sounds like you're a huge animal love. I love animals too. We currently have 2 golden retrievers, a chinchilla, and 2 gold fish. At one point in my life I had 3 dogs. I always feel like I need to rescue all the poor puppies in the shelter. I'm a sucker. LOL!! Great TT and thanks for stopping by mine.
