Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without...
...Christmas plays, cantatas, and caroling.
God currently has us in a church where the focus is a bit different that the churches we have been a part of in the past...which means no Christmas plays, no cantatas, and no caroling. And I have discovered that I am very sad about that. So this year, while my husband is away, we are going to go experience some of the joy of Christmas with other churches.

I miss Christmas plays too! That's a wonderful part of Christmas :)

ReplyDeleteI so enjoy going to Christmas plays too...I have planned to take the kids to a few myself. =)
I remember Christmas plays as a child and singing "Away in a Manger" in front of the church as a little girl. I miss that too. It seems like everybody is too busy to practice. Those memories at church at Christmas are some of the earliest of my childhood.
ReplyDeleteI haven't gone caroling since I was a kid! That would be so fun! I don't think I've ever been "caroled" either. I should do that one year. I do love Christmas plays though when I get a chance to go to one. Some of them are just too expensive!
